Gill Banks

Profile

Gill is currently exploring landscape after many years of being inspired almost exclusively by the sea. Water still holds a fascination for her but rivers, lakes and wetlands now feature in her sketchbook together with her beloved, often deserted beaches. She finds herself working often with watercolour or acrylic on paper, using collage and hand stitch to add texture and marks to her compositions.

Gill completed the HE Diploma in Stitched Textiles at East Berkshire College where she received a Distinction.
